Wild Ponies

Elford Village Hall
Great to kick off 2017 with a return of our good friends Wild Ponies aka Doug and Telisha Williams with the the mighty Tobias Humble on drums.

Since we put the Ponies on as a support act to Rod Picott just over 3 years ago it has been great to see them grow and develop into an act with a big UK following.

The show was a great mix of old and new songs played with their usual mix of energy, fun and great musicianship.

Look out for the new Ponies album out later in the year which is going to be something VERY special with some stunning musicians on there.

Profits from the show, bar and raffle came to £170 which have gone to Breast Cancer Now - a charity doing some great work which we are very proud to support.

Thanks to everyone who helped out on the night to make this another great show.

Stephen Simmons

The Stephen Simmons house concert proved a cosy but rewarding experience. 25 people squeezed into the Hot Burrito dining room for a evening of great songs and storytelling. Stephen played a mix of songs from his back catalogue but with a focus on his new album Hearsay and The Big Show, with a couple of new songs plus a Jackson Browne and a Springsteen (a jaw-dropping version of Tougher Than the Rest) cover thrown in for good measure.

Tales of love, loss and heartbreak set in unforgettable locations like the Boobie Bungalow Gentlemen's Club and Horse Cave, Kentucky. A really talented singer-songwriter who deserves a much bigger audience. Check out his music and catch him on future tours - hopefully back in Elford for Hot Burrito promos.

About Us

Hot Burrito Promotions – Smokin’ hot music in the Wild West Midlands. A venue run by fans for fans.

We ran our first show for Slaid Cleaves back in 2010 and have been doing it since, bringing the top names in Americana to the West Midlands including Slaid, Rod Picott and Sam Baker. We aim to offer the best music, a superb venue, great sound and good beer.

All shows are run on a not for profit basis. Anything we make goes to two local charities – Elford Hall Garden Project and St Giles Hospice in nearby Whittington. So far the shows have made over £2,000 for the charities.

All our gigs are in either Elford (near Tamworth) or Lichfield, Staffordshire, West Midlands. See individual listings for more details.

We would love to see you at the next show. Please come along and support us.
